Volunteerism
This is me and some co workers volunteering at one of the events we put on. This event was called Summer Night Lights. We had activities for the kids and screened our movie "Monster Trucks" to all the kids! 
Life Long Friends 
One of the best parts of this internship was the friends I made along the way. Everyone here wants to be in the entertainment industry, and it was so cool to make friends from around the US!

Paramount Pictures Overview
Paramount Pictures Corporation is a American film studio based in Hollywood, California, that has been a subsidiary of the American media conglomerate Viacom since 1994. Paramount is the fifth oldest surviving film studio in the world,[2] the second oldest in the United States, and the sole member of the "Big Six" film studios still located in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Hollywood.

The picture behind this text was taken in our famous backlot. Paramount has 3 fake cities on the lot. New York, Chicago, and LA. These are made to look like the real thing. Movies or TV shows rent out these backlots and use it to film. Most of your favorite movies were filmed on a backlot and you would never know. This picture is in the "Subway" staircase. It costs $12,000 a day to rent out the backlot.

Internship Overview 
 Here is the definition of the program from the website. "Paramount Pictures offers an exciting Internship Program providing students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to gain hands –on experience working in the entertainment industry.  At Paramount, every intern has the opportunity to network with industry professionals, attend a multitude of events aimed at furthering their entertainment knowledge, and play an integral role in their department’s success."
Requirements, Qualifications, & Achievements
Since the studio is so big, there are many departments you can work for. My specific department was Corporate Social Responsibility. We handle all the employee engagement and events. The requirements to fill my position were to be enrolled in an accredited university and to have event experience. 

Some achievements for me this summer was getting event experience in the entertainment world. I got to help plan events like Summer Night Lights and events every week around the lot. I learned so much this summer, and this internship program really has prepared me for the real world. They don't baby you and give you challenging projects to work on. If your looking for an internship just to get your required hours, then this job isn't for you.

  • Networking! This job provided me with so much networking it's overwhelming. 
  • Perks! Lots of perks came with this job like free lunch, private screenings, and I think getting to work at a movie studio is a perk within its self! The stuff we get to see everyday is crazy!
  • One of the biggest perks of the job was the weekly speakers we had. Every week an SVP from a certain department would come talk to all the interns. We had people from publicity, marketing, creative, legal, accounting, etc. This was cool for me because you learn what your really interested in. These speakers series really helped narrowing down what I want to do as a career. All the SVP were very nice and open to questions and even one on one opportunities if you ask! It really shows you how much work goes into creating a movie or TV show!

I would recommend the internship to anyone, no matter what you are into Paramount has a job for you. Getting to live in LA for 3 months working at one of the biggest movie studios in the world has truly been a dream come true. I can't rave about this program enough, the internship coordinators really did an amazing job. If you have the slightest interest in the entertainment industry I would 100 percent recommend this.
